I remember the first story he ever wrote me, “Once upon a time, there was a boy.” And then it became, “Once upon a time, there was a boy who wanted to fly.” And it just got better and better over time.

[The film festival experience] is really nerve-wracking, because I feel like that’s where all the movie gurus go to. I was afraid that I wasn’t quite edgy enough to be in a festival… When I think of a festival, I think of, like, nudity and really awkward sex, you know? I don’t think, like, ‘We’re gonna get a literary magazine made!’

Hey I'm also going to SBL on sunday at Balboa Theater and was wondering how early are you gonna get there 'cause I have no idea what time is early enough to like get good enough seats?
Not sure :/ I’d go 3-4 hours early to scope it out and see if people are super lining up. If not, then you can go get dinner or something and come back in a little bit. If they ARE already lining up, well then you can hop in line.
It’s a small theater though; I haven’t been there but I doubt there are really terrible seats or anything :)
